Jo Ruddles Birthday

Well what a busy day , first breakfast for Jo's birthday . We went to the lovely scrumpticios cafe where we drank cava at 9 am . The girls had eggs or bacon sandwiches but I just had my porridge lol .
Jo works in the back of the boutique I work in and she's a seamstress so I made her a sewing themed shadow box and a co-ordinating card. If you look very closely you can see little cute scissors and buttons , just loved how it turned out.
Thankfully Jo loved it to.
Out with his evening with some good friends, all round good day. Take care keep crafting love Julie X

Alice in Wonderland

Hi everyone,
Sharing a commissioned shadow box today. The theme Alice in Wonderland. I loved designing this gift.
When designing your shadow box anything goes really. Try and add dimension and texture.
On this box I added a small brass clock, crystal glaze and of course a cute cork stopped bottle.
Anyway got to get back to crafting although it's so hot. Take care and keep crafting x
You can always add a small note in the bottle.

Male Cards or Female which do you prefer making?

Hi everyone ,
hope you are all fit and well. Life in Spain is very busy in a good way. I have two cards to share with you. First card is for a teenage boy who likes, skateboards and bikes.
I enjoyed making this card as I used one of my all time favorite stamp sets from stampin up. It's a grunge set and has paint splatter and tyre treads, so versatile. Large letter dies cut twice and slightly off set to look like a shadow. I've always enjoyed making male themed cards.
My next card totally different , very pink and pretty.
Lots of die cuts used .
Sue Wilson lattice die gives a gorgeous effect on top of silver card. Small flowers are stampin up triple flower punch and roses also stampin up die.
Hope you like them, watch out for my next blog post and see my valentine bunting which I made for Gladrags Boutique where I work.
Take care and keep crafting xxx

Dusty boots gets married

Happy new year ,
Sorry I've been missing in action. Christmas is so busy with work and crafting. Thought i would share with you a card I made for a wedding in December. This is a commissioned card for a lady who runs line dancing classes and is known as dusty boots. The card had to have the  bride wearing cowboy boots and a wedding dress.  This is what I came up with hope you  like it.
Did you make a new  year resolution ?
My resolution was to be more tolerant and to become a better person. I'm hoping to improve my business in 2018 and expand.  Learn new techniques and broaden my knowledge of crafting.
I've now been living in Spain 2 years and it's gone by so fast . Lots of changes, I've become self employed , work in a gorgeous clothes boutique which also sells my cards. My market stall is improving but still lots to do.
Hope you all have a heathy and happy 2018. Take care and keep crafting love Julie xx
