Kinda of electric partnered with sheltering tree.

Well what a wet , cold miserable day but perfect for crafting.
I love sending cards and I think we are losing the skill of putting pen to paper and posting a card. Due to technology with email.facebook texts etc we don't put pen to paper as much as we used to. I love receiving a card it doesn't have to be all singing and dancing just a simple note that someone is thinking about you.
I decided I wanted to make a batch of cards so that I always have them ready to send for any occasion and I think the sheltering tree and kinda of electric is a perfect as they can be made suitable for all events.
Using left over card and stampin  up notelets I spent a couple of relaxing hours making these cards.
Do you like my little stands. They are from the takeaway pizzas you get from Pizza Hut. We have been doing so decorating in the house recently and takeaway pizza is perfect for when your too tired to cook, and these plastic little stands are great for displaying my little notelets.
I've stamped the envelopes with old olive and I think they look great, I think I will make a box to keep them in . Please leave me a comment and take care Julie xx keep crafting .
Ps I learnt a valuable trick from Julie Kettlewell at the last training event, if you are struggling to get a good even stamp from polymer use your pricking mat as a base it works for me . Xx

Lotus blossom stamp set.

Good afternoon,

Yesterday I had a enjoyable but stressful day.  I drove to Leeds to share the day with some lovely ladies at Julie Kettlewell training class. At these training days we get to catch up with friends and in some cases but faces to new Facebook friends.
Julie always inspires me and let's us try new techniques and products. At the moment it's saleabration which means spend 45 pounds on stampin up products and choose a freebie out of the saleabration leaflet. I hadn't tried the new blendabilities as everyone who knows me I love pro markers. But stampin up have done it again they are offering sets of blendabilities with your 45 pound order so I thought that's a chance for me to try them without buying them lol.
Well I'm hooked they are just like using a paintbrush and blending is a doddel. ( don't think I've spent that correct). Unfortunately I can't show you more blendabilities work as I've just took some items in a shop in Middleton-Teasdale but I have some blank images to colour so watch this space.
Anyway I've digressed I've still not feeling 100 per cent and may need treatment on my nose for congestion. Just a little tip please read instructions on medicines I used Sudafed nasal spray since christmas and yes it cleared my congestion or so I thought, apparently I was only supposed to use it for 7 days max and now I have got congestion reflux and a condition I can't even say never mind spell, all through using the spray for too long.
Anyway by the time I got to Leeds the main roads were fine but the back roads were very icey  yes I reversed and didn't stop due to ice and snapped by tow bar off so that it was hanging on by the electrics, thankfully ones of julies jems came to the rescue ( Sally Jo) and managed to strap it up using my bag strap so that I could drive home.
You can imagine by now my head was splitting and the thought of telling my husband made it worse, he loves his car.
After a cup of coffee and headache tablets and lots of kind words from julies gems I felt better and the journey home was much easier.
At these training days we do swaps to share our ideas . Here's a picture of mine.

Lost Lagoona is my favorite colour at the moment, and I've bought a lamanater so I'm lamanating everything lol. The sentiment is from the new sheltering tree stamp set. I will share some makes from this stamp set tomorrow. Take care and keep crafting Jx

Sheltering tree

Good evening,
Well what a cold and very white day. I usually love the snow but unfortunately the last lot of high winds took quite a few tiles of my roof and we are waiting for them to be repaired, so snow is the last thing we need.
My daughter moved out about 8 months ago so we decided to redecorate her room. I don't mind painting but I hate all the prepping and my husband has to have everything sanded and cleaned before he will let me loose with a paintbrush.
Walls stripped , coving under coated  that was me done so I sneaked away and played with my new stamp set Sheltering tree. This is a polymer stamp set which means it's so easy to line up and even easier to create gorgeous scenes to add to your cards. I've made four cards so I thought I would share two with you and two tomorrow. I think I may use one for my husbands valentines card.
Another new product is the bow punch it's so cute and so easy to put together.
Well take care and keep crafting Julie x

Post it note tutorial with pen as promised.

As promised post it note with pen tutorial . Please excuse my instructions I'm not very good at giving measurements etc.  Here we go lol
Start with a piece of card which is half an A4 cutting down the shortest side. So u can get two post it notes from one A4 piece.
Score at 3 2/16, 31/2, 314/16. You can make these lines spaced out if your pen is wider.  Burnish your score lines in a "v" shape the cut along the small white lines upto the score line. The front of the book will look slightly smaller until to add tape then your post it note it will line up.
Hope this makes sense if not please don't hesitate to contact me julieelizabethmccartney@msn.com take care and keep crafting. Jx

Lotus blossom

Hi thought I would share some cards with you using the Lotus flower stamp which is free when you spend 45 pounds on stampin up products.
When you use this stamp set you stamp 3 times, starting with the darkest colour then graduating to the lightest . On the actual stamps they have alittle arrow on them to show you were to position each stamp.
By using different combinations of colours the outcome is totally different. Please let me know what you think. Take care and keep crafting. Jx

Traveller

This card also lays flat so that you can post it.
Hi everyone , hope you are all well.
Quiet week this week as I'm still trying to get over whatever  cold bug I had over christmas.
Exciting news I'm displaying my projects in a shop at Middleton Teasdale I will let you know more when I do, but I can see me being very busy over the next few months.
I am also starting a new group which will be held on the 3rd Saturday of every month starting in February. This will be for anyone who loves to craft be it knitting, crocheting, scrap booking and of course card making. We can all get together and share tips and our projects.
I will still be doing my stampin up projects as you all know I love the products and I will be sharing some fab new products.
Of course saleabration is up and running contact me if you would like free gifts.

I've been playing with some of my favorite stamp sets and the Traveller is one of these, I know it's not in the new catalogue but the idea of the card can be adapted to any of your stamp sets.
