A Day at Whitby

Hi everyone,
Ive had a very busy day today, as tomorrow is my daughter Kate's birthday and as a treat she wanted to go to Whitby for the day.
We couldn't have picked a better day the weather was glorious, and Whitby was very busy.
Kate is planning to attend the annual Goth weekend so she had me looking for a long black lace dress which we did find on a lovely vintage stall.
Kate has a very unique style its goth mixed with vintage and alittle retro thrown in.We had a fab day and decided to go and see my granddaughter Maisey who hasn't been too well lately.

I adore Maisey with all my heart and as you can see she is pretty  special.

Anyway as i promised i would show you the card i made for Kate,s birthday, I've used the Beware Pirates stamp set which is retired but i love this stamp set I'm not going to part with it.

Bye for now take care and keep crafting Julie xx

Breast Cancer Afternoon Tea

HI Everyone,
Last Saturday i held an afternoon tea in aid of Breast Cancer Research. I usually try and raise money each year as i feel its a very worthwhile charity.
My good friend Sharon baked some gorgeous cakes and scones and the packaging was made from  stampin up products.
The afternoon started at 2pm and by 2.30pm my house was full, i couldn't believe how many people attended  next year I'm going to hire a hall and do the event on a much bigger scale.
Tea/coffee flowed and Sharon's cakes went down a storm.
I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and we raised nearly £200. Thank you to everyone who attended and thank you to those who donated but couldn't attended
Special thanks go out to Sharon for her gorgeous cakes and scones. Special thanks to Judith and Andrea for the scrumptious large cakes. Judith's cake got eaten and Andreas cake became a prize for the raffle.
And of course a special thank you and a hug for my gorgeous daughter Kate who always helps out  and does a sterling job. Anyway Ive posted some pictures but was so busy didn't get any pictures of the actual event ... Take care and keep crafting Julie xx
